Too much histamine in your body can contribute to symptoms such as flushing, runny nose, sleep difficulties, and/or headaches. These pesky symptoms can be the result of slowed enzyme activity in your histamine pathway. While DAO is the main enzyme responsible for breaking down food-derived histamine in your gut, other enzymes also play critical roles in metabolizing histamine produced in your body. To support your entire histamine pathway, Dr. Ben Lynch formulated one of the first and only products including the specific nutrients your histamine enzymes need to function.*

Histamine Nutrients is a comprehensive formula containing seven essential nutrient cofactors plus powerful antioxidants to support total histamine metabolism in each and every cell.*

Toxic byproducts are created when histamine is metabolized, such as ammonia, hydrogen peroxide, and acetaldehyde that can cause side effects and cell damage. Histamine Block also contains nutrient cofactors to support the normal breakdown of these toxic byproducts.*

Histamine Nutrients is a synergistic blend of nutrients designed to support the normal breakdown of histamine through multiple enzymatic processes, as well as neutralizing the toxic byproducts of histamine, using key nutrients:*

  • DAO - Contains 5,000 HDU of a patented DAO, a major enzyme responsible for breaking down histamine
  • Copper - A nutrient cofactor for the DAO enzyme
  • SAMe - A nutrient cofactor for the HNMT enzyme, another major enzyme involved in histamine breakdown
  • Alpha Keto-Glutarate - Supports the normal breakdown of ammonia, which is a toxic byproduct of histamine metabolism
  • Riboflavin - A nutrient cofactor for the MAOA and MAOB enzymes, which aid in neutralizing histamine toxic byproducts
  • Zinc and Vitamin B3 - Nutrient cofactors for the ALDH enzyme family, which help to break down acetaldehyde, a toxic byproduct of histamine metabolism

These key nutrients plus other powerful ingredients create the perfect support to your histamine intolerance protocol. Finally, you can experience a healthy response to histamine!*

When taking Histamine Nutrients, consider these complementary products as recommended by Dr. Ben Lynch:

  • ProBiota HistaminX - A probiotic formulated to exclude strains known to produce histamine to support a balanced microflora and gut health response to histamine ingestion.*
  • HistaminX - A bioflavonoid-based formula that supports healthy histamine release and healthy immune system responses.* This makes a great pair to Histamine Block Plus!
  • Optimal Electrolyte - Electrolytes are key for hydration and for supporting the absorption of nutrients into cells, as well as supporting lost electrolytes that occur during cell division.*
  • Optimal PC - Contains phosphatidylcholine, a nutrient used to build cell walls and support normal histamine release and regulation.*
  • Optimal Liposomal Vitamin C - Vitamin C is needed for optimal histamine response and DAO production. This optimally-absorbed vitamin C formula is one of our best sellers.*
Niacin Flushing: This formula contains niacin. When taken on an empty stomach, a healthy response to niacin supplementation may include mild blushing, warming, or tingling of the skin. This can appear on the ears, face, arms, torso, or occasionally on the legs. Commonly referred to as a "niacin flush", this harmless response normally dissipates within an hour. It is related to niacin's role in vasodilation (widening of blood vessels). Vasodilation leads to better circulation, capillary flushing, and increased blood flow to the surface of the skin. To minimize or prevent flushing, consider taking this supplement with food or in divided doses.*

Suggested Use

As needed, take 1-2 capsules with food. Use during the day to support healthy histamine break down. Use during the evening to support a healthy onset of sleep.† Use as directed by your healthcare professional.

Consult your healthcare professional before use, especially if you are pregnant or nursing. Keep out of reach of children. Contains ingredient derived from porcine (pig). Avoid if allergic to pork or any other ingredient. Histamine Block is NOT EFFECTIVE for symptoms of immune-related food allergies, such as peanuts, shellfish, etc., or for gluten intolerance due to sensitivity or celiac disease. DAO is not absorbed and does not have systemic activity.

Keep tightly closed in a cool, dry place out of reach by children.

Product Information

Histamine issues are front and center in your life. It seems you cannot get a handle on them.

You’ve realized that you need histamine support beyond just limiting high histamine food and drinks.

Here are some common scenarios which may resonate with you:

  • You love cats and dogs but your body doesn’t let you love them.
  • Some months of the year, you take a step outside and you find yourself sneezing right away. Mowing the lawn or going for a walk outside can really set you off.

Histamine Nutrients contains histamine-processing nutrients which support total body histamine breakdown.

If you relate to one or more of the following statements, then Histamine Nutrients may be helpful for you in supporting healthy histamine levels:

The synergistic blend of nutrients found in Histamine Nutrients supports healthy histamine metabolism. It also supports the body’s normal breakdown of histamine’s toxic byproducts.

  • DAO2TM (Diamine oxidase): A patented, porcine-derived enzyme. DAO is the enzyme responsible for breaking down histamine in the digestive tract
  • Zinc, Vitamins B1 & B3: Nutrient cofactors for aldehyde metabolism and the ALDH enzyme
  • SAMe: A cofactor for the HNMT enzyme that breaks down histamine throughout the body
  • Alpha Keto-Glutarate: Supports the normal breakdown of ammonia, a toxic byproduct of histamine metabolism
  • PQQ: supports normal breakdown of hydrogen peroxide and aldehydes
  • Vitamin C: stabilizes mast cells to support healthy histamine release
  • Vitamin B6: a cofactor for the DAO enzyme and supports healthy ammonia levels
  • Vitamin B5 (pantothenic acid): a cofactor for the NAT2 enzyme, which metabolizes histamine to acetyl histamine and eliminates it in the urine

In order for your body to have healthy histamine levels, you have to provide very specific nutrients. If you are lacking in even just one nutrient, your histamine levels will be problematic for you.

This is likely why histamine intolerance is such a common issue. It just takes one nutrient deficiency.

Here's why.

Histamine is a compound that requires destruction by multiple enzymes. These enzymes require specific nutrients. Think of it like an assembly line. If one worker gets overwhelmed, or doesn't have the right tools for the job, everything gets backed up.

Histamine Nutrients is the first, and likely only, supplement which supports all the histamine breakdown enzymes in your body. All of them. There are five enzymes which break apart histamine and eliminate it from your body. As mentioned before, you have to have ALL 5 enzymes working together simultaneously. If you don’t, you will not achieve healthy histamine levels.

Here are your five histamine breakdown enzymes:

  1. HNMT: this requires SAMe to initiate the first step of histamine breakdown into methylhistamine. HNMT is found heavily in your brain, uterus and liver.
  2. MAOA and MAOB: these two enzymes both require vitamin B2. These two enzymes process the methylhistamine made by HNMT.
  3. ALDH: this enzyme requires zinc, niacin and vitamin B1. This enzyme processes the compounds made by your MAOA, MAOB and DAO enzymes.
  4. DAO: this enzyme requires copper and vitamin B6. This enzyme processes histamine found in the digestive tract, placenta, bladder and many other areas.

It's not that easy.

As these enzymes work in breaking down histamine, they create the toxic compounds of ammonia, hydrogen peroxide, and acetaldehyde. These compounds must be broken down by additional enzymes. These enzymes require alpha keto-glutarate, thiamine and PQQ.

Next time you want to support healthy levels of histamine, and the elimination of the toxic byproducts, take 2 capsules of Histamine Nutrients anytime you need it - day or night. You will notice that it acts quite quickly.

As needed, take 1-2 capsules with food. Use during the day to support healthy histamine break down. Use during the evening to support a healthy onset of sleep.† Use as directed by your healthcare professional.

Consult with your healthcare practitioner prior to use. Do not use if inner tamper seal is damaged
