Glutathione is an antioxidant in the body made up of three amino acids: glycine, cysteine and glutamate. It is sometimes nicknamed the “master antioxidant.”
What is reduced glutathione?
Glutathione exists in two forms, the oxidized and reduced forms. The reduced form, also known as the active form, is known for scavenging free radicals. This reduced or active form is the type of glutathione used in this supplement.
What are free radicals?
Day-to-day life produces substances called free radicals that circulate in the body. While they are normally the result of stress, free radicals can be caused by other environmental factors like smoke and pollutants. When the body produces too many free radicals, it can cause oxidative stress—which impacts the body and its cells.
What is the dosage of this product?
This product provides 250 mg of reduced glutathione per capsule. It is suggested to take two capsules a day.
When is the best time to take Glutathione? Should it be taken before or after a meal?
This product can be taken any time of the day, with or without food, based on your preference.
Will this supplement interact with my medication?
There is no indication that the glutathione in this formula would negatively interact with prescription medications.
