Zahler bioactive B-Complex contains a well-balanced formula of the B Vitamins in body-ready forms for quick and easy absorption
Zahler B-Complex is formulated with a unique two-stage delivery system, with half of the nutrients released immediately and the other half delayed for sustained benefit and enhanced absorption. This advanced formula includes only body-ready (coenzyme, methylated and phosphorylated) forms that don't require complex conversion. The B vitamins are critical for general well-being and specifically support mood, energy, and nervous system functioning.
Advanced Two Stage Delivery:
Zahler's upgraded Bioactive B Complex is a two-layered tablet with layer 1 (half of the nutrients) released and delivered immediately. The delayed release of layer 2 (the other half of the nutrients) enables sustained benefit. Since the B vitamins are water soluble and quickly metabolized and excreted, the benefits of slow release include more stable blood levels and an increase in the total amount of nutrients being absorbed and utilized.
Product FAQs
I noticed that most companies make their B-Complex with much higher doses of the B vitamins. Why does Zahler formulate with such small amounts of each vitamin?
It's not how much you take, it's how much you absorb. Zahler uses the most highly absorbable, body-ready forms of the B vitamins. Since the absorption is so great, it is not necessary for it to contain such high amounts. Additionally, the B vitamins are water soluble and don't stay in the body, so supplementing with higher amounts does not mean that the body gets more. It would only make the body work more to get rid of the excess nutrients.
Is Zahler Bioactive B Complex suitable for those with the MTHFR mutation?
Yes, Zahler Bioactive B Complex contains body-ready forms of the B Vitamins including methylated, phosphorylated and coenzyme forms. Hence, it is suitable for those with the MTHFR mutation.
How many hours apart are the 2 layers of Zahler B Complex released?
The first portion (half the tablet) is released within 30 minutes. The second half will take a few hours. There are differences in the rate of release of the second half between individuals. Majority of the people will have layer 2 working within two to three hours.
Does the B Complex contain Thiamine?
Yes, Zahler Bioactive B Complex contains Thiamine in the form of Benfotiamine. This is the active coenzyme of Vitamin B1, or Thiamine. It is more biologically active and does not require an enzyme-driven bioconversion in the body, which may be impaired in some individuals.

Unlike the water-soluble form, the fat-soluble thiamine (benfotiamine) in our formula easily penetrates cells. It’s been shown to support thiamine levels faster and longer than water-soluble thiamine.
What Is Benfotiamine with Thiamine?
Benfotiamine, a fat-soluble form of vitamin B1 (thiamine), supports healthy blood sugar metabolism and helps encourage the body’s tissues against advanced glycation end products and oxidative stress.
Benfotiamine is more bioavailable than water-soluble thiamine. It can also easily penetrate the inside of cells.
Benfotiamine with Thiamine Benefits
- Supports healthy blood sugar metabolism
- Promotes optimal thiamine levels important for supporting cardiovascular health
- Helps protect against advanced glycation end products
- Provides support against oxidative stress
Maintain Already Healthy Blood Sugar Levels
Benfotiamine can promote healthy glucose metabolism and blood glucose levels already within normal range. Our Benfotiamine with Thiamine formula is a dietary supplement that can help maintain already-healthy blood sugar levels and support the health of the nerves, kidneys, eyes, blood vessels and heart.
Benfotiamine is a fat-soluble form of vitamin B1 (thiamine). Thiamine is needed for normal blood sugar metabolism via a non-oxygen-dependent metabolic pathway called the pentose phosphate pathway.1,2 The products of this pathway are needed for fatty acid, amino acid and nucleotide synthesis. Adequate levels of thiamine are especially critical to supporting healthy brain function, where cells rely on the pentose phosphate pathway for energy.2 Thiamine also helps encourage the body’s tissues against advanced glycation end products and oxidative stress, making maintaining optimal levels important for supporting cardiovascular and metabolic health.

B vitamins provide foundational support for your brain, nervous system, immune function, energy production, cell metabolism, organ and tissue health, and much more.*
Because B vitamins have far-reaching and interrelated effects, low levels can affect your body in many different ways. Some of the signs of low vitamin B include inability to sleep well, fatigue, GI symptoms, joint or muscle discomfort, mood swings, confusion and occasional forgetfulness.*
Factors that can contribute to low levels of one or more B vitamins, such as age, alcohol and diet.
Because B vitamins are water-soluble and not stored in your body, you must get the entire complex through your diet each day. Unfortunately, that can be a challenge due to depleted modern diets and potential absorption issues.
Vitamin B Complex is a unique advanced complex that provides the ideal proportions of the eight major B vitamins and:
- Contains the patented PANMOL® vitamin B complex, with concentrations of B vitamins a hundred-fold higher than what’s found in whole grains.
- For enhanced bioavailability and potential benefits, the B vitamins are organically bound to sprouts from organic quinoa seeds.*
- Contains eight well-balanced and biologically active B vitamins complete with co-factors and coenzymes.
- May be better absorbed in your body than regular isolated synthetic B vitamins.*
- Contains fat-soluble Benfotiamine that can cross cell membranes with greater ease for enhanced thiamine bioavailability and cellular support in your body and brain.*
This unique formula combines innovative production methods with scientifically balanced ratios of each B vitamin to provide a cutting edge supplement that you won’t find anywhere else. See what extra bioavailable B vitamins can do for you, and order your supply of Vitamin B Complex today.*

PRODUCT INFORMATION
B vitamins play important roles in nearly all of the body’s functional systems. Some of the wide-reaching supportive roles of B vitamins include the health of the nervous system, support for liver, skin and hair as well as maintaining muscle tone in the gastrointestinal tract.* A sufficient level of B vitamin intake is essential for maintaining adequate energy metabolism, mood balance, hormone synthesis, hemoglobin formation and proper nerve cell impulse transmissions.*
Even when you are taking only one individual vitamin B vitamin product for specific support (such as vitamin B12 or folate), it is still recommended to take a complete B vitamin supplement along with it to give you full B vitamin support. The whole B family is needed to help keep your body in balance and harmony for physical, emotional and mental health.*
Since they work as a team, the best way to take B vitamins is to consume all of them together. The vitamin B family supports whole-body health and wellness, so let’s take a closer look at these must-have nutrients:
VITAMIN B1 – THIAMINE HCL
Thiamine enables the body to use carbohydrates as energy and plays a central role in nerve, muscle, and heart health.* Energy transport within cells would be impossible without vitamin B1, which is involved in the creation of adenosine triphosphate (ATP).
VITAMIN B2 – RIBOFLAVIN
Vitamin B2, riboflavin, helps to break down fats, proteins, and carbohydrates, making it critical to managing the energy supply of the body.* Riboflavin is a component of two major coenzymes that play a major role in energy production, cellular function and growth, and healthy metabolism function.*
VITAMIN B3 – NIACIN
Vitamin B3 is another superstar of the B vitamin family that supports cardiovascular health and carbohydrate metabolism.* This incredible B vitamin is also important to keep the brain healthy, providing the brain with energy to function properly.*
VITAMIN B5 – PANTOTHENIC ACID
Pantothenic acid, also known as vitamin B5, supports healthy hair, skin, eyes, and liver function by supporting the conversion of food into glucose.* Vitamin B5 plays a vital role in the production, transport, and breakdown of fats and promotes the production of acetylcholine, an important neurotransmitter.*
VITAMIN B6 – PYRIDOXAL-5-PHOSPHATE (P-5-P)
The active form of vitamin B6, known as P-5-P, serves as a critical cofactor in many enzymatic reactions in the body, supporting amino acid metabolism, nervous system health, and the biosynthesis of neurotransmitters such as serotonin and GABA.*
VITAMIN B7 – BIOTIN
Well known to support healthy skin and nails, biotin is crucial for its effects in supporting healthy metabolism and regulating healthy cholesterol and blood sugar.* This B vitamin helps convert certain nutrients into energy, making it an important part of the B complex family.*
VITAMIN B9 – FOLATE (AS 5-METHYLTETRAHYDROFOLATE OR 5-MTHF)
Folic acid, known as vitamin B9 and folate, is an important compound that allows the body to produce DNA, RNA, and other genetic material. The active form of folate, 5-methyltetrahydrofolate (5-MTHF), is a highly bio-available form of folic acid. Working along with vitamins B12 and B6, folate helps to support healthy homocysteine metabolism.* Folate is also critical for the growth and reproduction of red blood cells and white blood cells.*
VITAMIN B12 – (AS ADENOSYLCOBALAMIN, METHYLCOBALAMIN)
In the form of adenosylcobalamin and methylcobalamin, vitamin B-12 is critical for the healthy formation of red blood cells and the health of nerve tissues.* The metabolism of dietary carbohydrates, proteins, and fats is an essential step in energy production that requires vitamin B-12. Working along with folate and vitamin B-6, vitamin B-12 helps to support healthy homocysteine metabolism.*
