Q: As Iron Complex™ contains liver fractions, could it increase my cholesterol or triglyceride levels?
A: The liver used in Iron Complex™ contains no fat and no cholesterol. Therefore, it cannot raise cholesterol or triglyceride levels. It is always recommended that you discuss the use of any and all supplements with your healthcare professional.
Q: Does Iron Complex™ cause constipation?
A: While constipation is a common side effect of non-heme iron supplements, the heme iron in Iron Complex™ has less of a constipating effect. If you do experience constipation, simple dietary changes may help alleviate the problem. Slowly increase the fiber in your diet by including whole grain breads, cereals, fruits, and vegetables. Drink at least 8 cups of fluids daily and get some moderate exercise (as recommended by your physician) such as walking or bike riding.
